Van Duc Pagoda in Hoi An

Van Duc Pagoda is one of the most ancient pagodas in Hoi An city.
Van Duc pagoda was built on a 600m2 of area, its main entrance has 4 pillars on which have been written Chinese distich.

The main palace is the most valuable construction with “tien duong hau dien” style (a style of pagoda in Vietnam). The pagoda’s main constructions were tile-roofed with tube-tile. Main palace was divided 5 parts which are 3 worship spaces and 2 corridors.

The pagoda’s worshipping system is very diversified and solemn, including: Quan an Nam Hai, Di Lac Buddha, Ho Phap Vi Da, Thich Ca Buddha and many others Buddha.

Nowadays, there are many precious antiquities saved in the pagoda. Van Duc pagoda was recognized as national heritage site in 1991.
